Steve serves as President of NewEdge Advisors. He has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, including a 24-year career at LPL where he was a vital member of the Business Development team. During his time at LPL, Steve had a great impact in growing the firm from 1500 advisors to 16,000 advisors and retired as Executive Vice President, Business Development. Over the past four years with NewEdge, Steve has served as both President of NewEdge Advisors and as Chief Operating Officer of NewEdge Capital Group and. He is pleased to bring his depth of knowledge back to NewEdge Advisors as President.

Steve graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. He currently resides in San Diego, CA, with his wife of 28 years. Steve is very passionate about travel and has visited over 30 countries across the globe with his family.

K is the President of one of NewEdge Capital Group’s subsidiaries, NewEdge Securities, LLC. From 2005 through 2022, he served as Senior Vice President of Mid Atlantic Capital Group, overseeing advisor services, which included investment management research, development and management of proprietary advisor-facing programs and services, advisor support services and customer data management and reporting. From 2000 to 2005, he served as Chief Investment Officer of Longboat Capital Management. While at Longboat, Kyle focused primarily on the firm’s hedge fund investment portfolios. Prior to Longboat, Kyle served as a Vice President with Mid Atlantic Capital Group, in its product management area. Kyle became licensed as a Certified Public Accountant while employed at the start of his career with the international accounting firm of Ernst & Young. Kyle received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of Pittsburgh.

Neil is the Chief Revenue and Strategy Officer of NewEdge Capital Group and the Co-Founder of one of its subsidiaries, NewEdge Advisors.

Neil has a strong track record of taking great business ideas and turning them into exceptional companies, such as NewEdge Advisors. After starting his career at JP Morgan, Neil made his way to New Orleans-based technology firm, iSeatz.com, as their Chief Strategy Officer. It was there that he met current business partner, Alex Goss. The two went on to form AdverCar.com before co-founding what is known today as NewEdge Advisors. As Co-Founders, they continue to develop NewEdge Advisors into one of the most advisor-first firms in the nation.

Neil graduated from Kenyon College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He was born and raised in New York City and currently resides in New Orleans. Outside of work, he enjoys running, playing golf and supporting local charities.

Alex is the Co-Founder and CEO of NewEdge Advisors and Managing Partner of NewEdge Capital Group. Prior to leading NewEdge Advisors, Alex built the personal advisory practice he ran with his father into Goss Advisors, an $8 billion RIA. Goss Advisors was subsequently acquired by NewEdge Capital Group and rebranded as NewEdge Advisors.

In his role, Alex is fully dedicated to understanding what successful advisors need — and what they don’t. His mission is to give advisors the tools and flexibility to better serve their clients, free from the limitations wirehouses and big banks impose.

Alex graduated from Louisiana State University and moved to New York City, where he worked for the New Orleans-based technology firm iSeatz.com. It was there that he met current business partner Neil Turner, and the two went on to co-found AdverCar.com. After developing the business into a Silicon Valley venture-backed advertising firm, Alex returned to New Orleans to join his father, Jerry Goss, as a financial advisor. From that partnership, the idea that became NewEdge Advisors was born.

Alex lives in New Orleans with his wife, daughter, and two sons. In his free time, he enjoys golf, hunting, and fishing. He is also deeply committed to supporting our nation’s most valuable asset — its youth. Alex serves on the Board of Directors of Son of a Saint, a New Orleans nonprofit that mentors fatherless boys from age 10 through 21, and supports additional organizations focused on education, mentorship, and cultural enrichment for kids in need.

As Chief Financial Officer for NewEdge, Mike oversees accounting, finance and human resources functions company-wide. He brings a wealth of Wall Street and growth-company experience to the role as he spent 19 years in sell-side equity research, 15 years as a leading financial services analyst at First Boston and Morgan Stanley, and four years as the latter’s North America equity research director. He reinvented as a CFO in 2004, serving as the first CFO of Gerson Lehman Group, Argus Information, and Oak Hill Advisors, overseeing all aspects of accounting, finance, operations, technology, capital-raising, and controls.

Mike holds an AB in economics from Brown University and an MBA with distinction from Harvard University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst®. Since 2013, Mike has served on the New York City Board of Directors of Summer Search, a national youth development organization.

As General Counsel and Head of Legal and Compliance, Erin leads the legal and compliance teams for all of NewEdge, advising on a broad range of legal issues. She has served as General Counsel for 12 years across NewEdge and its predecessor companies, EdgeCo Holdings and Mid Atlantic Capital Group. Prior to joining NewEdge, Erin was a commercial litigator with McGuireWoods LLP, an international law firm. She was named a Rising Star as part of the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers awards and to Pittsburgh Magazine’s 40 under 40.

Erin graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a B.A. in Political Science and French, magna cum laude, and then again from Notre Dame with a J.D. While in college, she received a diploma for high French proficiency from L’Université Catholique de l’Ouest in France. While a practicing lawyer, she attended the Trial Advocacy College at the University of Virginia School of Law. She currently resides in Pittsburgh with her husband, twins and chocolate lab.

As Communications Manager, Chloe manages internal and external resources to execute marketing strategies across social media, email and video, as well as plan and execute large-scale national and regional events. Chloe is also responsible for creating cross-brand and cross-division marketing efficiencies across EdgeCo companies.

Chloe has been a member of the marketing team since 2017 and has ten years of experience in the communication and event fields.

Melissa has over 20 years of experience in the field of marketing. In her role as Vice President of Marketing, Melissa is responsible for the strategy and execution of marketing and communication activities across EdgeCo, including NewEdge Wealth. Melissa oversees campaign and content development, digital and corporate communications, advertising, public relations, social media, and event marketing.

She received her B.A. in Journalism from the University of Rhode Island and was awarded the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designation from Fi360 in 2017.

Melissa is originally from Warwick, RI and currently resides in Lexington, KY. In her spare time, she enjoys running, listening to podcasts, and spending time with her husband and two boys.

Prior to joining NewEdge, she was the Marketing & Advertising Coordinator for an investment firm in Lexington, Kentucky. She has nearly ten years of experience and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree in marketing and a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology.

Liz grew up in Columbus, OH and currently resides in Georgia. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, outdoor activities, and traveling the world.

With nearly 20 years of experience, Kelly has held positions at The Private Wealth Partners, Morgan Stanley, and Lehman Brothers. She earned her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Communications and Journalism from the University of Connecticut. She also maintains her Series 7, 24, and 66 securities licenses.

Kelly currently resides in Greenwich, CT. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her children, traveling, and renovating and designing homes.

With a background in education and operations, Erin brings a unique perspective to the financial services industry. Before entering wealth management, she was a founding team member and Associate Executive Director of Operations at Citizens of the World Charter Schools in New York, where she launched two schools and built their operational frameworks from the ground up. Her early career as a special event manager in New York City and a high school teacher in New Orleans continues to influence her leadership style, which emphasizes mentorship, transparency, and empowerment.

Erin is a passionate advocate for women in finance and a dedicated mentor to her team. She fosters a culture of growth and inclusion, helping colleagues identify leadership pathways and achieve professional fulfillment. Her commitment to work-life balance and team development has made her a respected leader and role model within NewEdge and the broader industry.

Among her many accomplishments, Erin has led the implementation of a unified back-office system, streamlined billing processes, and revamped advisor compensation and service models. Prior to joining New Edge, Lauren spent time as a Wealth Strategist with Hawthorn, PNC Family Wealth in Philadelphia. While at Hawthorn, she worked closely with ultra-high net worth families and the next generation to provide advice on complex estate and wealth planning issues.

Lauren earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Marketing from the University of Cincinnati. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^® and currently pursuing her Masters in Taxation at Villanova University. As a resident of Venice Beach, she teaches financial literacy programs in her local neighborhood and is a longtime supporter and volunteer with Defy Ventures – a second chance for the formerly incarcerated.

A Wall Street legend, Lee Cooperman spent his first 22 years with Goldman in the Investment Research Department as partner-in-charge, co-chairman of the Investment Policy Committee and chairman of the Stock Selection Committee. In 1989, he became chairman and chief executive officer of Goldman Sachs Asset Management and was chief investment officer of the equity product line including managing the GS Capital Growth Fund. Bob was a key leader in several organizations that have built new infrastructures by consolidating acquisitions, joint venture partners, and business units’ redundant products, applications, systems, and networks designed to reduce cost, evolve infrastructure, improve service levels, expand existing products and services and introduce new innovative offerings and technology.

Kevin serves as the Chief Administrative Officer of EdgeCo, working with Senior Management on the acquisition, integration and leadership of financial services organizations. He started his career in the private practice of law as a commercial litigator with the Stafford, Rosenbaum Law Firm before joining the legal department of a Fortune 1000 organization – CUNA Mutual Group. At CUNA, Kevin lead the Investment and Litigation functions in the role of Deputy General Counsel, lead the Employee Benefits business unit and then ascending to the role of President of CUNA Brokerage Services, Inc. where he lead the Sales, Operations and Compliance functions.

J is the Chief Financial Officer for NewEdge Capital Group and the Executive Vice President of Finance of EdgeCo Holdings, LLP. He also serves on the board of directors of three of EdgeCo’s primary operating subsidiaries, NewEdge Securities, LLC – a FINRA registered broker-dealer, American Trust Company – a Tennessee non-depository trust company, and American Trust Custody – a South Dakota non-depository trust company.

Joe joined the company in 1996; he is responsible for the supervision of the finance and accounting functions, as well as all financial regulatory reporting. He serves as the Financial Operations Principal of the broker-dealer. Prior to joining NewEdge, Joe was a manager in the audit division of Arthur Andersen LLP. Tim has been in the financial services industry since he graduated from John Carroll University, Cleveland, OH in 1984. His career began with Federated Investors, Inc. where he worked with banks, savings and loans, and trust departments representing asset management and trust investment services. From there, he spent time with Mellon Bank in the global cash management division where he consulted for Fortune 500 companies in New York and Connecticut. Tim also held various management positions with the Federal Home Loan Bank and Bisys Fund Services where he concentrated on raising bank capital and lending services as well as product management and delivery of investment products to the institutional buy-side of the street. In 1995, he co-founded Mid Atlantic Institutional Shares, Inc. (“MAIS”) where he was president and CEO. MAIS quickly became one of the most prominent trading platforms in the nation, focusing on the TPA, corporate, and trust department marketplace. It grew to over $30 billion in client assets under administration. In November 2002, Mid Atlantic Institutional Shares, Inc. was sold to SunGard and combined its product and services with SunGard’s STN Funds where Tim then served as president. In 2004 Tim, along with several other key industry figures, developed a company that has become Mid Atlantic Trust Company (“MATC”). This company was designed to complement the services MAIS had offered to its TPA and trust clientele. It currently offers directed trustee, custody, sub-custody, paying agent, and reporting services for the retirement and trust space. Tim now serves on the executive committee of the Mid Atlantic companies and as president of Mid Atlantic Trust Company and is concentrating his efforts on the institutional and retirement plan administration marketplaces and advisor recruiting.

John Moody

John Moody is Chief Executive Officer of EdgeCo Holdings. Under his leadership, EdgeCo is evolving a new national model to service retirement plan clients built on an expert organization leveraging best available technologies. Prior to launching EdgeCo, John co-founded and was president of Matrix Financial Solutions, a leading custodian and mutual fund trading provider. In his more than 30 years in industry, John has served on the boards of CiKR (Council of Independent Record Keepers) and SPARK (Society of Pension Administrators and Record Keepers) and has used these platforms to champion industry initiatives.

Charles has a long-standing history in the financial services industry. As founder of Mid Atlantic Capital Group, Inc. and its affiliates, he helped launch what consists of NewEdge Capital Group today. In 1990, Charles founded Pennsylvania Capital Bank (now part of Huntington Bancshares). In 1995, he co-founded Mid Atlantic Institutional Shares, which grew to one of the nation’s largest money fund networks and mutual fund trading platforms and was acquired by Sungard. Mr. Warden was also co-founder of Mid Atlantic Financial Platforms, which is known today as Mid Atlantic Trust Company.

Charles holds a B.S. in Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and an MBA from the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh.

Mary Jo Totten

Mary Jo is a seasoned Human Resources professional with a long track record of providing hands-on expertise across all aspects of HR disciplines. Mary Jo formerly served as an HR Business Partner for FedEx, where she was responsible for a large client area and workforce needs for over 1400 employees across multiple US facilities and their regional corporate facility. Prior to FedEx, her HR career included other HR individual contributor and management roles with Highmark/IMC (Industrial Medical Consultants), The Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh and Allegheny General Hospital. Her primary roles included broad experiences in Recruitment, Hiring, Disciplinary Action, Payroll and Benefit Administration, Employee and Labor Relations, Performance Management, Engagement and Separation. Mary Jo is Masters level prepared with a post graduate degree in Human Resource Management.

Mary Jo is skilled in the progressive strategies of HR where she enjoys actively partnering and consulting with all levels of management in the development and implementation of strategies to support the growth, success, and development of the business and employees.

Scott began his career in the finance industry in 1992 as a financial consultant. He began his Trading career in 1997 with Dreyfus Investment Services and was there three years when he accepted a Trader position with Mid Atlantic Capital Corp in early 2000. His Career at Mid Atlantic progressed into Sr. Equity Trader and onto Vice President where he now serves as Team Leader and manager of the MACC Trading Workgroup. Scott earned his BA degree in finance in 1991 from Robert Morris College. He is a Registered Representative with Mid Atlantic Capital Corp. and holds the Series 7, 63, 55 and 24 licenses.

Nicole serves as VP, Custody Asset Movement & Control, where she oversees her department’s cash movement activities via ACH, wire transfer, check and journal, as well as internal and customer automated cash processing functions initiated via Mid Atlantic’s TNS system. In addition, she oversees asset movement via ACATS, physical transfer, and DTCC transfer processes. As part of Mid Atlantic’s customer cash disbursement services, Nicole’s oversees Federal and state tax withholding and reporting functions. Nicole received her B.A. from University of Pittsburgh. She is also a Certified IRA Specialist.

Chris brings more than 30 years of experience in financial services marketing and publishing to NewEdge, having held senior-level positions with financial publishers, financial services corporations, and providing marketing and consulting services to financial institutions and independent financial advisors. Prior to joining NewEdge, he was Chief Marketing Officer and President of Tematica Research, LLC, a thematic equity research and custom index provider. Mr. Schneider has spent over 30 years working on the forefront of the FinTech space and leading the operations of some of the largest financial intermediary companies in the industry. He has a long track record of launching successful new businesses inside large companies as well as pure startups, with a common thread of leveraging technology to help financial partners grow their businesses faster and become more successful.

Mr. Schneider began his career at the financial technology firm SunGard Data Systems. Over the course of his 15 years with SunGard, he rose up from a software tester to one of the top executive positions as Group CEO of SunGard Financial Networks. In 2004, Mr. Schneider helped form what is known today as AmericanTCS, creating a new level of sophistication in trading and custody services for third party administrators’ and registered investment advisors’ clientele. Mid Atlantic ultimately served as the cornerstone for the launch of EdgeCo Holdings in 2018 — the parent company out of which NewEdge Capital Group was later founded.

As CEO of EdgeCo Holdings, Mr. Schneider worked alongside the founders of NewEdge Capital Group from the firm’s launch, helping build it into one of the industry’s leading independent wealth management enterprises. Now that NewEdge Capital Group operates as a standalone firm, Mr. Schneider continues to serve as a Managing Partner, helping guide strategic initiatives across the business.

In that role, he was Vice President and Director of Investment Solutions, responsible for the development and implementation of the investment solutions platform, including managed account programs, third-party research, private banking solutions and insurance. He worked previously at Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith as a senior financial analyst covering ultra-high net worth clients, and at T. Rowe Price Group, where he was a retirement specialist. Mr. Smith rejoined Mid Atlantic in January 2005 after resigning in 2000 to serve as Chief Investment Officer of Longboat Capital Management. While at Longboat, Mr. Smith focused primarily on the firm’s hedge fund investment portfolios. Prior to Longboat, Mr. Smith served as a Vice President with MACG, in its product management area. Mr. Smith became licensed as a Certified Public Accountant while employed at the start of his career with the international accounting firm of Arthur Young. Mr. Smith received his B.S. Degree in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of Pittsburgh in 1986. He is a Registered Representative of the broker-dealer and holds the Series 3, 7, 24 and 63 securities licenses.

Mr. Down serves as an Executive Vice President of NewEdge Capital Group and President of NewEdge Securities. From 1997 to 2018, he served as President and board member of Mid Atlantic Capital Group. He has been with the company since 1987. From 1997 to 2004, he served as the executive in charge of the asset management division, where he was responsible for research, development of proprietary investment programs, financial analysis, client reporting and operations and trading supervision. He also serves on the board of directors of Mid Atlantic Trust Company. Mr. Down is also President of Stonehaven Capital Management, LLC.

Mr. Down earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Business (dual major) from the University of Pittsburgh. He earned his Master’s degree in Business Administration (with an emphasis in finance) from the University of Miami.

John also served as a Managing Director and Head of Private Banking in the United States for J.P. Morgan and as a Managing Director and Head of Private Wealth Management in the Americas for Morgan Stanley. Earlier in his career John was a trader at Salomon Brothers where he was the Head of Municipal Arbitrage and Municipal Trading.

John received his Bachelor of Sciences degree in finance with honors from Boston College and his MBA from DePaul University.

He has been recognized by Barron’s, Forbes, and The Financial Times as a Top Wealth Advisor.

Jeff received his Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Concordia University and his M.B.A. from New York University Stern School of Business. He and his wife have twins and reside in Glen Ridge, NJ. Jeff enjoys golf, skiing and collecting art and wine.
