NewEdge Advisors (NEA) is looking for a highly skilled service-minded associate with a positive attitude who enjoys problem-solving and meeting the needs of our advisor base. They will report directly to the Operations Manager.

Location: The position will be in New Orleans, LA or Baton Rouge, LA. Remote applications considered.

 

Responsibilities & Duties

The position of Sr Account Administration Associate is a dynamic role with a diversified number of daily tasks. The primary responsibilities of this job includes the review and approval of our various RIA specific documents through our case management system. This individual will also be responsible for reviewing investment advisory agreements, completing account updates, tracking transitioning teams’ accounts, and providing timely resolutions via email or telephone.

This individual will work closely with multiple business departments including Advisory Billing, Operations, and Orion Data Management to reply to inquires related to account administration, account agreements and complete adhoq projects related to the onboarding of new accounts. The ideal candidate will have direct experience with new accounts processing at a registered investment advisor and/or FINRA member broker-dealer. Experience using the Orion technology platforms and applications custom to Fidelity, Goldman Sachs, Raymond James, Charles Schwab, and/or LPL Clearing is highly preferred.

Review and approve new accounts and investment advisory agreements
Serve as a primary point of contact for RIA new accounts processing-related inquries
Work closely with the Operations Manager on projects, paperwork escalations, approvals & exceptions
Review and update existing account changes and requests in Orion
Provide Orion training to advisors on new accounts and/or missing agreements, IGO/NIGO processing
Serve as backup for the Operations training calls outlining account onboarding & operations procedures for teams joining NewEdge Advisors
Develop rapport with our individual advisor offices by providing exceptional service to advisors, staff and NEA colleagues
Work on interdepartmental projects as needed

 

Qualifications

3-5 years of securities industry experience within organizations providing investment advisory or financial technology services.
New accounts processing at a registered investment advisory firm or FINRA member broker-dealer.
FINRA S6, S7, S63, or S99 a plus.
Experience with Orion.
Experience working for a financial advisor or in a multi-custodial environment with Fidelity, Goldman Sachs, Raymond James, Charles Schwab, and/or LPL Clearing preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or other business-related field or equivalent professional experience.
Skill in operating various database and software programs (i.e., Microsoft Office, Orion, Salesforce. etc.).
Ability to communicate professionally in writing or verbally with co-workers, advisors, and other business units as required.
Ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks within established timeframes.
Ability to clearly and concisely explain complex information.
Ability to pay close attention to detail and meet or exceed deadlines.
Ability to communicate and project a positive, professional attitude with co-workers, customers, and various business contacts in person and over the telephone.
Ability to continually stay updated with new information.
Ability to be at work on a regular and predictable basis.
