For over 25 years, Darren has provided institutional, retirement plan and private client advisory services and has established himself as a respected specialist in research and analytics, operational infrastructure and asset management consulting. He serves as the Co-Chair of the investment committee, administers retirement plan client relationships, and provides asset management, wealth advisory and planning services to Private Clients.
He began his career in 1999 as an Institutional Research Analyst Smith Barney’s Consulting Group, and through various mergers, both Citi Institutional Consulting and Morgan Stanley Graystone. Since 2012, he has been serving in the Registered Investment Advisory business as a Fiduciary Adviser. He manages fully open-architecture platforms and information technology resources.
He graduated from the University of Windsor in Ontario, Canada, with a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Finance & Economics. He earned his Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) designation through the Wharton School of Business. He completed the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) program through the Center for Fiduciary Studies. In 2013, Darren obtained the Global Fiduciary Strategist (GFS©) designation awarded by 3ethos and the Thunderbird Graduate School of Global Management. As a Global Fiduciary Strategist (GFS©), Darren subscribes to the philosophy that Leadership, Stewardship and Governance are the primary drivers to decision‐making when serving in critical Fiduciary leadership roles. In addition, as a Certified 401(k) Professional (C(k)P™) earned through UCLA Anderson Executive Education, Darren further exemplifies both academic aptitude and real-world core competencies related to servicing retirement plans.
Combining his passion for cycling, triathlon, and community development, Darren is a planning member and participant of “Bikes Fight Poverty”, an annual cycling event benefitting 1Mission.org, an international non‐profit organization focused on providing impoverished communities and families long-term housing. Darren and his family frequently travel to Latin America to build homes in the communities they serve. Along with his partners, Darren has served on multiple industry and Eleemosynary charitable boards.
