Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
As a specialist on our team, you will be responsible for data analysis, transaction processing, research requests and reconciliation activities related to the management of fee billing for retirement plan accounts. Specialists will utilize internal systems such as FIRSTRAC, Relius, TNS and Microsoft Office Products as well as provide support to various internal teams, advisors and partner clients.
Specialists must be detail oriented with excellent time management skills and will review, recommend and/or implement process improvements to assure compliance with audit controls or changes that have a positive customer impact or help to reduce company risk.
Specialists will help create and maintain process documentation to ensure consistent processing and training of newer team members. Specialists will also review the work of other team members and provide detailed feedback to ensure a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
This position provides the right candidate an opportunity for continuing education specific to the retirement services industry, as well as the ability to learn new technology and further career development.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, math or accounting preferred; or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Excellent Communication Skills: Confidently and competently conveys and presents information that is straightforward, uncomplicated and clear.
Critical Thinking: A solid and thoughtful approach that defines problems and analyzes information using a rational, systematic process.
Collaboration: Open-minded and cooperative.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Products.
Attainment of ASPPA Retirement Plan Fundamentals RPF 1 & 2 within 6 months of hire.
